Burma Liveaboard Diving | Dive Sites | General Information
In 1999, Faah Yai started to run dedicated Burma liveaboard diving cruises. The advantages are obvious, direct access via Ranong, shorter cruising times, more dives, less stress and the ability to sail further North than any other dive boat currently operating from Phuket. Recently, she began trips to the virtually untouched Cabusa Islands in the far North of the Mergui archipelago - the ultimate Burma liveaboard diving cruise! Tour leader Alain has been diving in Burma for 10 years - the Faah Yai is dedicated to exploring the Mergui Archipelago and Alain knows many great hidden spots.

Faah Yai takes only 10 guests maximum, though with charters you may sometimes get 1 or 2 more. But at 25m in length, there is plenty of space. The Master cabin is at the front of the boat on the main deck, along with 2 deluxe cabins - one with a double/twin bunk and one twin bunk cabin. On the lower deck are two more deluxe cabins. All cabins have aircon and private hot water bathrooms.

The dive deck is not large, but well designed with hanging space for wetsuits and boxes under the tanks. You will suit up and enter the water in small groups. The airconditioned salon on the upper deck is nicely decorated with wooden furniture, and here you will find an extensive library and will be served some of the best food on any liveaboard boat - Sunan (the cook) is Alain's wife!
