Similan Diving Dive Site - Breakfast Bend

General Information

Diving Similan Islands - East of Island No.9, stretching from the north to the south, lies the very long coral reef at Breakfast Bend. It slopes gently from a depth of 5-10 meters to 25-30 meters at the sandy bottom. The main feature is hard coral such as pore coral, brain coral and staghorn coral. There is also a large sea whip field in the north.

Current

Moderate. The current regularly splits into two streams, one which runs to the north and one which runs to the south.

Marine Life

Large schools of Bat Fish and Yellowtail Barracuda are at home here as well as Octopus and Ghost Pipefish. Kuhl's Stingray and Garden Eels are to be found at the sandy bottom together with different Triggerfish and all sorts of different Gobies.
