General Information
Christmas point is a cluster of submerged boulders at the Similan Islands, with the exception of a pinnacle at the surface that is located at the northwest ridge of Similan Island No. 9. Underwater the boulders stretch from the Island to a depth of 35-40 meters which create an archlike swim-through at around 24 meters.The crevices are covered by colourful softcorals and seafans. A hard coral garden made up of staghorn and pore coral is in the shallower parts at around 10 meters.

Current
Moderate to strong current. The water moves from the southwest to the northeast at high tide and vice versa. Around the protuding end of the reef the current sways a lot and may push you towards the deeper parts.
Marine Life
At a depth between 25-40 meters you are likely to find resting Leopard Sharks, White Tip and Black Tip Reef Sharks as well as big fishes such as Napoleon Wrasse, Great Barracuda, Giant Trevally and Tuna. Schools of Fusilier, Goatfish and Snapper are a common sight here as well.
