General Information

Kata Beach is used mostly for training dives. It's ideal for a first time diver, you can start on the beach, walk in, swim to deeper water, there's no currents either. You can dive either end of the beach.

Current

Almost no current. Very easy shallow diving.

Marine Life

The shallow reef off Kata hides a fair amount of marine life. We've seen ribbon eels here, cuttlefish, moray eels, lionfish, batfish, just about anything!
