General Information
Tachai Reef stretches along the eastern side of the Island. The reefs gently slopes from 5-10 meters to the sandy bottom at about 20-25 meters. Hard coral such as staghorn coral, brain coral and pore coral cover the whole area.
Current
Mild to moderate currents are running in a northeast to southwest direction.
Marine Life
General Reef Fish include Pufferfish, Lionfish, Scorpionfish and Parrotfish. At nighttime several different species of Crab and Shrimp come out for hunting accompanied by Moray eels.
