Karon Place is a small family run hotel situated on Karon Plaza right next to the Sunrise Divers office. The owners aim for friendly, personal service and a good standard of rooms. There are 50 large rooms, all with private balconies, airconditioning and cable TV.
The hotel also has a small pool surrounded by tropical vegetation and a pretty good restaurant serving breakfasts, steaks, sandwiches, salads and of course a bit of Thai cuisine. Food is plentiful in the area with at least 20 restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Boss Fashion House (Tailors) nearby too. The beach is also just a few minutes away. Good value for money.
