The South Siam 3 Liveaboard sleeps a maximum 28 guests* in twin sharing air conditioned cabins, with 6 shared bathrooms. There are also 2 double bed cabins. On the upper deck is a spacious shaded outdoor seating area where meals are served, and also an indoor air-conditioned lounge with TV and DVD. On the very top of the boat is a huge sundeck.
South Siam 3 also stays only in the Similan Islands, with some dives at Koh Bon (a good site for spotting Manta rays) on Wednesdays and Sundays. There is no diving at Richelieu Rock or Surin Islands. Snorkelers are taken by speedboat to the beach or shallow water, while the divers go on the liveaboard to the best dive sites.
Note that this is primarily a dive boat, and snorkelers on longer trips may find they visit the same spots several times - it's fine for a short 2 - 3 day trip. Also, while the dives are very well supervised and you always dive with a divemaster, snorkelers are often left alone without direct supervision - which suits some people and not others. At least you'll be in paradise! |
