Triggerfishes are named for the mechanism whereby the first dorsal spine can be locked in erect position by the small second spine; if one presses down on the second dorsal spine (the trigger), the first spine can be moved.The Triggerfishes are a group of beautiful, sometimes aggressive and very strong fish. They are deep and fat bodied with enlarged heads. They have very powerful jaws and can chew through just about anything.
