Chinese Temple in Kathu Village, Phuket

The village of Kathu is the center of Kathu district which includes Patong beach. The village is about halfway from Patong to Phuket City. There are both chinese and Buddist temples in the village. Also nearby is Kathu waterfall and Loch Palm Golf Club. The village is "real Thailand" - you would not know you were in a tourism zone! The temple plays an important part in Phuket's famous vegetarian festival, held each October. In 2005, the festival runs from 2 -11 October.
