Longtail boats at Laem Hin, Phuket

Laem Hin is just a few km north of Phuket City, easily reached from the main airport road. The village along the road is mostly Muslim, with plenty of fishing and shrimp farming going on. At the end of the road is a good restaurant (Laem Hin Seafood) - any taxi driver will know it. From there you can take a longtail to the island of Koh Maphrao, where there are floating restaurants, and you can also ride around the island and stop on a beautiful beach.
