Giamani - Dive Thailand and Burma in Style
Schedule 08/09 | Prices | Description and Photos | Itineraries | Boat Plans
The Giamani is a new top class liveaboard which started in November 2007. The boat was built in 1998 to IMO standards, and she has been carefully looked after by her Italian owner. Now she is being refurbished and converted into a liveaboard taking a maximum 16 guests on cruises of 4 - 9 days in Thailand and Burma. The cruise prices for Giamani's second season are very reasonable, and with the boat being run by the same team as Colona 6, we know of a quality boat offering quality service.
Giamani is one of Phuket's newer liveaboards - you can see some photos and a boat overview on our dive blog:

MV Giamani has a total of 6 cabins - 4 deluxe and 2 twin standard. The deluxe cabins are on the main deck and have en suite bathrooms. These can be booked as double/twin (for 2 people) or as triple cabins (suitable for singles) - price varies; see the rates above. The two standard twin cabins are on the upper deck and have a common shared bathroom. All cabins are air conditioned, all have seaview windows, and all bathrooms have hot water.
Although the maximum number of guests is 16, on most cruises there will be less, since the deluxe cabins are likely to be booked by couples wanting a double bed, or by 2 people wanting a twin with bathroom. If all deluxe cabins are booked as double/twin, there would only be 12 guests on a full trip.

There are 2 common areas - an indoor salon with a library, TV, DVD player and music system, and also a spacious outdoor area, where meals are served. These areas are both on the upper deck. There is also a sundeck / relaxation area on the main deck at the bow. Food will be the usual delicious Thai cuisine, along with large hungry-diver breakfasts.
Water supply is not a problem, as Giamani has 2 watermakers in addition to the large water tank. Nitrox is available on board for certfied divers, or you can take the Nitrox certification on your cruise.
