Schedule 08/09 | Prices | Description and Photos | Itinerary | Boat Plans
Cruises in the Similan Islands and up to Richelieu Rock with the liveaboard "Queen Scuba". This stylish and comfortable liveaboard started operating in November 2003 and has now had 5 very successful seasons. At 28m in length, she is also one of the larger Similan liveaboards. All cruises depart from Thap Lamu, with free transfers by minibus available from Phuket or Khao Lak. Note - there is no increase in prices for next season, so Queen Scuba looks like a good deal!

Queen Scuba has several cabin types - Standard bunk (on the lower deck), VIP and Master. All cabins have private bathrooms with hot water, and are all air-conditioned. There is one twin, one triple and one quad bunk cabin. All VIP cabins are double bed, making this a great boat for couples - many Similan liveaboards have only twin beds. The queen size Master cabin is one of the largest on any liveaboard. The Master and VIP cabins are on the main deck, with ocean view windows. The Master cabin includes private TV and DVD.

Please note that the Queen Scuba is a little more strict about PADI regulations than many liveaboards. Open Water divers with no logged deep or night dive experience will not be allowed to do these dives. But you can take advantage of the instructors on board and do a PADI Advanced Open Water course or Deep/Night "Adventure" dives.
The regular 4 day schedule covers the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. Some trips may also dive at the Surin Islands which are far less dived. Queen Scuba takes maximum 21 customers, and will have 4 dive staff on board. The dive deck is very large, giving plenty of room for suiting up for your dives. A 4m RIB (tender) helps with pick ups after the dives. After your dives, catch the rays on the huge sun deck on top of the boat.

The indoor salon, also aircon, is equipped with TV, DVD and entertainment centre. There are power points in all cabins and the salon for charging batteries. Food will be Thai (naturally) with some Western dishes, all served buffet style. Customers say the food is very good!
