Phuket Weather - April 2005

Thursday April 28th

Sun continues. Some rain in the night, and this morning looked like a certain rain day, but the clouds all but disappeared. I took a walk on Karon Beach in the afternoon, finding it very peaceful and with very few people around. Darn hot, though!

Tuesday April 26th

Yes, more sun, and more sun. Today started very muggy and dark clouds were building up. I saw about 4 spots of rain, and then the clouds vanished again. Weather is still hot, no sign of the change of seasons yet. Last year the switch from NE to SW winds came in the last week of May, so we could yet have several hot weeks.

Thursday April 21st

Sunday night and Monday were grey, with a little rain, but the last few days have once again been hot, with clear blue skies. Waters are calm, great for diving.

Sunday April 17th

Well, finally we have had some rain. There have been a few showers in the night over the past week, and some quite heavy rain for a couple of hours on Friday night. The sky is cloudier now, a bit cooler, quite humid. Today is still sunny and hot.

Monday April 4th

Continues hot and sunny, but there has been some cloud and one more small thunderstorm. A slightly cooler day today with some cloud, but basically the island is thirsty! There is talk of water rationing in some parts of Phuket. I am sure the cloud seeding will start again!
