Phuket Weather - August 2004
Monday August 30th
Well, yesterday was a bit wet and grey. Not a "sitting on the beach" day. Today is bright without actually being sunny.
Saturday August 28th
A couple of sunny days! Everything looks nice and green, and the sun is shining. Family went for a picnic on the beach yesterday and called me at the office to gloat.
Thursday August 26th
Wednesday started wet, but was dry most of the day in Karon. Divers at Racha Noi had a good trip. Today looked grim, but is actually dry and bright (not sunny but OK).
Tuesday August 24th
Sunday was wet and windy, but the clouds cleared in the evening. Monday started wet again. By late afternoon it was sunny in Karon. Tuesday had some light rain in the morning but sunny in the afternoon. You see, the rain never stays for long!
Saturday August 21st
Yesterday was mostly dry, wind died down a bit. Today started wet and wild again, but rain stopped midday and the wind has now dropped again.
Thursday August 19th
Wednesday was sunny again. Weather changed overnight. Today started wet and windy, but rain stopped by mid morning.
Tuesday August 17th
More sun. Last few days warm but windy. Students had great dives at Shark Point, very nice conditions. This weather is typical for August. Lovely.
Saturday August 14th
Last 3 days : Sunny and warm, wind still blowing, but our divers said it wasn't too rough. Really nice weather. Time to get the barbie out again.
Wednesday August 11th
Another dry and warm day. No sun, but no rain. Wind picking up and waves were bouncy going to Racha Yai today.

Tuesday August 10th
Last few days have been hazy with some sun, a little bit of rain, mostly in the night. Light winds. Diving conditions good. Jamie was diving at Racha Yai yesterday. Lovely day!
Friday August 6th
Thursday and Friday both very nice and sunny. Great diving weather. How long can this last?
Wednesday August 4th
Sunny again, or at least "partly cloudy". Nice evening yesterday with the moon rising over the hills. Today would be a very nice day to dive, but here I am stuck in front of the computer... (sympathy please)
Tuesday August 3rd
Sunny! Light winds and good diving weather.
Monday August 2nd
Sunday 1st was a pretty bloomin' awful day until about 3pm. Rain and wind. But the wind dropped and we managed to get on the beach in the late afternoon and play in the surf. Today is much nicer. Sunny so far, and the bones tell me it will be a nice week.
