Friday July 29th
Winds much less and weather still fine. Today is very nice indeed, warm, sunny, a light breeze. This month has been very dry. I heard that in Chumphon (east coast) it was wet and windy today. Meanwhile there are huge floods in India.
Wednesday July 27th
Last few days have been dry and mostly sunny with a few clouds. The wind has been strong and seas not so calm, but divers have been out enjoying themselves. Today is much more overcast, but no sign of rain (yet).
Sunday July 24th
Well, a couple of sunshine 'n' showers days, but no persistent rain. Still warm and yesterday was a fine evening for a barbie. Had maybe 20 minute shower this lunchtime before the sun came back.

Thursday July 21st
Again, it started wet this morning. A big heavy band of rain swept over us at about 7am, but by 9am it was dry and sunny. The rain just can't get a grip! It's a hot day today, a but windy, but real nice.
Wednesday July 20th
Well, today is completely different. We did wonder when we'd get any rain. Overnight was wet, and this morning was wet and a little more windy than of late. Dry by mid morning. A couple of wetter, cooler days is fine by me.
Tuesday July 19th
There were a few spots of rain last night, and light rain was falling this morning, but once again the sun burned off the cloud and today has been very nice. A light wind is blowing, so it doesn't feel so hot. Please take note - the wet season is a great time to visit Phuket.
Monday July 18th
A few signs that maybe the good weather will come to an end soon. We do need rain. Sunday started cloudy, but there was no rain. Last night we had rain and it was still drizzling in the morning, but was dry and bright by 10am.
Saturday July 16th
This weather looks like it will never end. Can I say once more - the rainy season is a myth. Friday started cloudy and cool, but by 10am the sky was bright blue again, another great day. Saturday is the same. All this sun is all very well, but the water level at Bang Wad reservoir looked very low when we went there yesterday. Rain, please.

Thursday July 14th
Oui, yesterday was another lovely day. There was one rain shower over the boat on the way to Koh Racha Yai, but after this the day was hot and almost cloudless. Sea was not 100% calm, but just a very light wind. Waters were clear, lovely relaxed diving, with marine life including octopus, cuttlefish, lionfish, scorpionfish, parrotfish, trumpetfish, barracuda, triggerfish, damselfish, oh the list is a looong one! Today has started cooler and mostly cloudy, but no sign of any rain. Nice to have a cooler day once in a while.
Tuesday July 12th
Well, the forecast seemed to be wrong. There was some rain yesterday in Phuket City and a wee bit at night, but today has been once again warm and fine. Now, tomorrow better be good as I'm going diving!
Monday July 11th
A very very nice weekend. Friends had been over to Phi Phi and came back nice and red on Saturday. Skies were clear at night showing a thin smiling moon. Sunday was lovely and hot! We drove up the highest hill in Phuket (just over 500m). Great views from up there. Then lazing in the pool in the sun all afternoon. Of course this is the rainy season, ha ha! Monday has started cloudier, maybe some rain will fall today. Forecasts predict a couple of showery days this week. Can't be sunny every day!
Friday July 8th
Thursday was another nice day. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. Especially the morning. Sea much calmer. Today started stunningly nice, though clouds are building now (mid afternoon), so we might get some rain tonight.
Wednesday July 6th
Yes, there was rain on Monday night, but Tuesday was dry until about 7pm, when it was wet again. Today started wet and windy, quite big waves on the beaches. We took a drive around Nai Harn and Ya Nui, all very green and beautiful in that area.
Monday July 4th (Yee-Ha)
The weekend continued warm and dry. Lovely days for relaxing, diving, lunch by the ocean...The "rainy" season is not what people think. Some heavy rain on Sunday night and plenty of clouds today, sure to be rain later.
