Phuket Weather - November 2004
Friday November 26th
Well, what an anticlimax! The tropical storm which had been charging Westward dissipated as it hit land and turned North. Never came here at all. No rain last night, and clear blue skies today. Some trips were cancelled in advance (bet they're kicking themselves now), but better to be safe than sorry...

Thursday November 25th
Tropical Storm Muifa is due to pass by here. I saw this on the news a few days ago over the Philipines, but never thought the same storm would keep tracking West to here. The storm should pass over us in the night, but now (5pm) some heavy rain has just started which may be associated with the storm system. Similan Islands day trips cancelled for tomorrow, though liveaboards will wait and see what happens. I have been here 5 years and have not heard of a real bona fide Tropical Storm passing this way before. More news at it happens...
Wednesday November 24th
More of the same. There was some heavy rain in some places Saturday afternoon. The last 2 days have been hot and almost cloudless. Perfect for diving unless you don't like the sun, in which case I hear Siberia is nice this time of year.
Friday November 19th
Sun. Sun. Sun. There was some rain yesterday, at least out at sea, not here. Some of our divers coming back from Racha Yai had some rain. The east wind has picked up the last few days. This can lead to some choppy seas.

Sunday November 14th
More of the same, great weather. Has there been any rain the last week? Maybe a bit in the night. I haven't needed my poncho for a while now. It's high season, so this is what we expect. Also, getting too busy to be updating and playing with the web site every day :)
Monday November 8th
Weather continues stable, with some rain especially in the night. Sunday afternoon we had a bit of wet weather around 3pm, but Monday is a lovely day. Sea is calm and divers are all happy :)
Thursday November 4th
The East winds blow quite strong in the morning at this time of year, but by mid afternoon it gets calm. Last night we had some rain and thunder, but awoke to sunshine and mostly clear skies. Who cares if it rains at night, eh?
Tuesday November 2nd
Weekend continued very good. There was a bit of rain Monday morning and again this afternoon, but nothing to write home about. Diving conditions are excellent.
