Phuket Weather - September 2004

Wednesday September 28th

The last 2 days have been pretty wet. Tuesday morning began cloudy, we had 30 minutes of heavy rain around lunchtime and it never really cleared at all. By late afternoon, a mix of sunshine and showers. Wednesday started dry but the afternoon was steady drizzle and some heavier rain. But the sea is calm, and I reckon it looks good for diving.

Monday September 27th

Well, Saturday ended wet, thunderstorm in the afternoon. Sunday started wet but was sunny by mid afternoon, and the sky was clear in the night. Divers said Sunday was calm and they caught the sun. Monday is dry, warm.

Saturday September 25th

Friday was dry but cloudy, today is (guess what) sunny again. The last 2 nights we had big thunderstorms around 8-9pm, real loud bangs. Nearly dropped my beer glass it was so loud :)

Thursday September 23rd

Another sunny and warm day with light winds blowing..talking of winds, I have been pointed to a web site that predicts winds and waves. Looks good. You have to select Thailand - Phuket from the list of locations : www.windguru.cz

Wednesday September 22nd

Big thunderstorm over my house last night about 2am rattling the windows and waking my daughter. Cleared the air and today is sunny again.

Tuesday September 21st

Sunny and breezy. Lovely warm day. Where the **** is the rainy season?

Monday September 20th

Saturday was a bloomin' nice day. As for Sunday...well, just recently the sabbath has not been living up to its name "Sun Day" - very simple, but (unless it's my imagination), it always seems to rain on Sunday..coincidentally when we close our office and have a nice relaxing day off..

Monday (today) started a bit grey, but after some light drizzle in the morning is a dry day.

Friday September 17th

Sunny and warm day, light winds, not too hot. You can call this one a "scattered clouds" kind of day. Now, pleeeease continue into the weekend..

Thursday September 16th

Started nice and sunny, beautiful morning. Afternoon was wet, light rain.

Wednesday September 15th

Dry and bright morning, rainstorm for 30 minutes late afternoon. Nice and cool today, the air is clear after the rain.

Tuesday September 14th

Last night was raining almost all night and was cool. Today is dry and bright but I'm sure there will be some rain. Anyhow, the temperature is a few degrees less, so we can all breathe easier! Rained quite a bit at night again.

Monday September 13th

Sunday was hazy hazy, and we had some thunder bouncing around, but just a few drops of rain. Today is the same, just a few drops of rain in the morning.  We could do with a big thunderstorm to clear the air. Customers returned from liveaboard in the Similan islands, great trip and mostly calm seas...in September?

Saturday September 11th

Last 3 days have been hot and mostly sunny. No rain in sight, but skies are hazy. Winds are light, seas pretty calm. Roll out those lazy hazy crazy days of summer..

Wednesday September 8th

Oh boy. The last 2 days have been just too nice. Sunny, not too hot, absolutely perfect. Don't believe me? Look at the photo below.

Monday September 6th

Sunday was sunny, a good day for gardening and a cold beer. Monday is sunny (ish) though there was an hour or so of spitting rain here and strong wind which has now died down.

Saturday September 4th

Had a quick rain shower this morning, but wind has dropped and sky is not dark.

Friday September 3rd

This whole week has been pretty nice, not the kind of days you want to be stuck in the office. Mostly warm and sunny, making you wish life was one big holiday.
