Phuket Weather Reports: September 2007

19th September 2007

The bad weather returned in force last week, and the weekend was particularly wet and windy. Weather was undoubtedly a factor in the crash at Phuket Airport on Sunday - a sad day for everyone here. The last 2 days have been sunny again, but the rain is forecast to return for the end of the week. These are the last days of the low season - it's a bit earlier this year than we recall on previous years, which is good news for divers. The Thailand liveaboard season will start on 1st October (see our Dive Blog - Thailand Liveaboard Season). If you are lucky with the weather, early season can be great diving at the Similan Islands. We hope to see you diving here in Phuket soon!

Karon Beach, 9am 19th September

9th September 2007

September in Phuket is always a mixed bag - some days are grey, some days are blue, some days are wet, some days are hot. Over this first week of the month we've had it all, but as usual there has been more sun than rain - see some more detailed reports on Jamie's Phuket Weather Blog. A couple of days were rather grim, but the last few have been H.O.T. To show what I mean - a few photos from the last 10 days....
