*On Wednesday’s due to the late arrival of guests, the boat is conducting only 3 dives (Wednesday Diver Discount 2,000 Baht).
Pick-up takes place on Wednesday’s from Phuket around 5:30 pm and from Khao Lak around 6:30 pm.
National Park Fees: 500 Baht (3 days stay) plus Diving Fee 200 Baht/Day. Park Fees are payable on board in cash.
All trip prices are quoted per person.
Please note that for this boat, if you are a less experienced Open Water certified diver or have not dived for a long time, a private divemaster may be required (2,000 Baht per day). To dive in the group you need to have minimum 10 dives or Advanced Diver certification.

MV Koon 9 Liveaboard Information
This large vessel is very stable in the water. The MV Koon 9 Liveaboard is based off the Similan and Surin Islands during the high season. All guest cabins are located on the main deck. The upper deck features a large dining room and an air-conditioned lounge. On the roof deck, you’ll find a spacious sun deck and seating at the bow.
You decide how much time you want to spend on board – diving or relaxing.
NOTE that at busy times the boat is likely to be crowded and note that day trippers can join some days too. You have up to 40 guests sleeping on the boat, plus new divers arriving and on changeover days there can sometimes be 60+ divers. The boat is well run, but some people may find it a little too busy. If you want a quiet boat with less divers, this is not the one for you. Divers booking on the Koon 9 should have Advanced Open Water certification or Open Water with at least 20-30 dives and have dived in the last year. Divers with less experience or who have not dived for a long time may be able to join, but need to pay extra for a private divemaster.
All divemasters on the boat are working for the boat – we send private guides if divers are less experienced or on request (2000 Baht per day).
Diving Equipment
Rental equipment is provided by MV Koon9 on board. Rental price is 500 Baht per day for a set (BCD/regulator/fins/mask/wetsuit), 300 Baht/day for a dive computer.
Torches for night dives, no charge. 15 liter tanks available 300 Baht per day.
Nitrox
Nitrox is 300 Baht per 12 liter fill.
Courses
PADI Advanced Open Water course on board on request.
Drinks
Drinking water, coffee, tea and sodas are included. Beers are about 50 Baht.
Single Occupancy
A private cabin costs 80% more than the trip price.
Transfer
Transfer from an to Khao Lak hotels is included. Transfer from Phuket hotels is 500 Baht/person extra.
