PADI Dive Courses - Prices 2008
Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver Course teaches you all the skills you need to dive safely and independently. This fun-filled course includes theory, pool dives and 4 Open Water Dives. Your PADI certification is valid worldwide, giving you a ticket to adventure. We have a maximum class size of 4 students, or you can choose to book a private course for just 1 or 2 people, giving you closer attention from your instructor.
We normally run the course in 3 or 4 days, including 2 trips by day trip boat to either Racha Yai Island or Phi Phi. This gets you to the best dive sites. A cheaper 3 day course is also possible including some beach dives from nearby Karon or Kata beaches. Beach dives are normally only possible in the high season, and the diving is much nicer on day trips. All our courses result in the PADI Open Water Diver certification ("ticket"), they only differ in the location of the dives. Please note that we do not offer beginners dive courses in the Similan Islands National Park.
PADI Open Water Course - Options & Prices
3 day course (4 beach dives, group instruction) - 10,900 Baht
3 day course PLUS (2 beach dives, 2 boat dives, group instruction) - 12,900 Baht
3 - 4 day course (4 boat dives, group instruction) - 13,900 Baht
Private 3 day course (2 beach dives, 2 boat dives, 1 or 2 students) - 15,900 Baht
Private 3 - 4 day course (4 boat dives, 1 or 2 students) - 16,900 Baht
Day trips are normally to Koh Racha Yai. Phi Phi trips may be possible for an extra 700 Baht.

Open Water Referral Course
With the PADI system of diver education, you can start your course at home and then complete it here with Sunrise Divers. We often receive referral students who have completed their theory and pool training, just leaving the 4 Open Water Dives for the warm waters of Thailand. You can make your dives in a variety of locations, from beach dives to the Similan Islands. Don't forget to bring your referral paperwork with you.

These prices are for the 4 open water dives only!

Discover Scuba Diving
All the fun and adventure of scuba diving in one day! This is an experience you will never forget and will want to repeat. Perfect if you just want to try diving or have limited time. This is not a certification, but can count towards your PADI Open Water certification should you wish to learn more. As part of your experience you will briefly cover dive theory, then make some exercises in shallow water, followed by some fun diving!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
The PADI "Adventures in Diving" program follows the Open Water course and provides the Open Water diver with a structured, well-supervised means to gain additional experience in new and exciting areas such as deep diving, night diving and navigation. Your dives are all part of PADI specialty courses, allowing you to rapidly expand your diving knowledge. We have many different options available with different destinations to suit all budgets. You can also take the Advanced course on most liveaboard cruises - ask us for details.
PADI Advanced Open Water Course - Options & Prices
Bronze - 3 dives by day trip boat + 2 beach dives - 11,500 Baht
Silver - 5 dives (2 full days) by local day trip boat - 12,500 Baht

Liveaboards - most liveaboards to the Similan Islands have the option of taking your PADI Advanced Open Water course during the trip. The additional cost is normally about 6,000 - 8,500 Baht. Ask us for details.
PADI Also recently introduced the "Adventure Diver" certification, including any 3 dives from the Advanced Open Water course. This takes just one day, ideal if you are pushed for time, and can be done by local day trip or combined with a Similan Islands tour. You can gain your Advanced certification another time simply by making 2 more course dives. Ask us for details on how to become a certified PADI Adventure Diver.

Enriched Air Diver Course (NITROX)
This 2 day course is designed to qualify certified divers to use enriched air ("Nitrox") for no stop recreational diving. Nitrox is becoming increasingly popular and is widely available in many popular dive destinations. Several Phuket based Thailand diving liveaboards now have Nitrox on board. Some day trip boats can also carry Nitrox on request, and your course can be combined with either a day trip or (by special request) our Phi Phi overnight special.

Rescue Diver Course
The Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a diver`s knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. Now you start to think about other divers and not just yourself! The PADI Rescue Diver rating is a prerequisite for all PADI leadership training (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor).
3 days including theory, beach dives and day trip - 12,900 Baht
Emergency First Response (First Aid) Course - 3,900 Baht*
Prices include equipment, certification fee, PADI Rescue manual, log book and insurance.
*First Aid training within the last 2 years is required for Rescue Diver certification.
If you have previous training or a medical qualification you may not need to take the EFR course.
Divemaster Course
There is probably no other term in diving with more diverse meaning than Divemaster. This is where you start your PADI professional career, begin looking after other divers and taking your diving skills to new levels. Course includes theory, dive skills, stamina tests, practical application and assisting with confined and open water dives from other PADI courses. It is best to take your time, and learn as much as possible about diving.
Taking a divemaster course is a serious commitment from you and your Instructor, and in many ways is more of a lifestyle than a diving course. You can contact us to discuss your options and ask for more details about becoming a PADI divemaster. Course duration: from 4 - 6 weeks. We prefer not to try 2 week courses for divemaster. Please note - we do not offer free divemaster internships. Since a major part of the course is guiding and assisting on courses, we can only do Divemaster courses in high season from November - April when we have plenty of students.
Unlimited diving until you reach the required 60 dives - 28,900 Baht
Note : Divemaster course does not include rental equipment or purchase of materials.
