Blue Dolphin Liveaboard Diving in the Similan and Surin Islands

The MV Blue Dolphin Liveaboard operates 4 night trips to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. She is a newly constructed liveaboard vessel, built in 2022. With a maximum of only 16 guests she offers lots of space for a large liveaboard in Thailand. This steel vessel boat is equipped with 2 upper deck master cabins with king size bed, 2 main deck deluxe double/twin cabins, 2 main deck standard twin cabins and 1 main deck quad cabin. All cabins and the saloon are fitted out with aircondition. The master and deluxe cabins include private bathrooms. The standard and quad cabins have shared bathrooms.

Blue Dolphin Liveaboard Information

The MV Blue Dolphin is a large 35m liveaboard with lots of space including a large air conditioned interior saloon and large sundeck. The Big Blue accommodates a maximum of 16 guests – the upper deck has 2 main cabins with ensuite bathrooms and king-size bed. On the main deck there are 2 deluxe cabins, also with ensuite bathrooms, queen size bed or 2 single beds (available for families with child). Please ask for details.
Also on the main deck are 2 standard twin cabins and 1 quad cabin with shared bathrooms. The Blue Dolphin is a very modern and comfortable boat.

Safety: equipped with 4 Life Rafts, full complement of life jackets, medic first aid station, Oxygen supply 6,000 liters capacity, Closed circuit video on the dive deck and in the engine room. 2 large dinghies (RIBs) will assist with diver pick up since the Blue Dolphin is too big to go cruising near the reefs.

The dive deck is also extremely spacious and well organised. Blue Dolphin departs from the port of Thap Lamu, 90 minutes North of Phuket. Transfers from Phuket or Khao Lak are included in the prices. Pick up also possible from Phuket International Airport.

Diving Equipment

Rental equipment is provided by Sunrise Divers for our divers on the Blue Dolphin liveaboard. Rental price is 500 Baht per day for a set (BCD/regulator/fins/mask/wetsuit), 250 Baht/day for a dive computer and only 150 Baht/day for dive insurance. We have a large equipment room at our dive center with 30 sets of Aqualung BCDs and regulators and a large selection of long and short wetsuits, open heel and full foot fins.

If you need to rent equipment we suggest you meet at our dive center on departure day, so you can try all equipment before departure. If not possible to meet at our shop, no problem, we will pack extra equipment in different sizes.

Torches for night dives are 150 Baht per day. 15 liter tanks 200 Baht per day.

Nitrox

Nitrox is available on board @ 200 Baht per 12 liter tank fill or 2,500 Baht for all 14 dives on a trip. 15 liter Nitrox 300 Baht per fill or 3,500 Baht for all 14 dives.

Courses

SSI Advanced Open Water course is 10,000 Baht. SSI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is 10,000 Baht.

Drinks

Drinking water, coffee, tea, sodas are included. Beers are 70 Baht and wine 100 Baht per glass.
