MV Aqua – Similan Islands Liveaboard
The steel-built MV Aqua is a large and comfortable liveaboard. The yacht has been known as the luxuirios Tapana liveaboard and was refitted in 2025 with private bathrooms in all cabins. The standard cabins on the lower deck are large and feature a small partition between the twin beds, making them ideal for solo divers. The mattresses in all cabins are very comfortable. On the main deck, there are two VIP double cabins, three deluxe twin cabins with ocean views, and four slightly smaller standard twin cabins with ocean views. There are three standard twin cabins on the lower deck. Meals are served on the upper deck, where the large, air-conditioned saloon is also located. Overall, it is a good, high-quality liveaboard for a maximum of 24 divers.
A large salon is located on the Upper Deck. Here you can unwind from a days diving in a comfortable and air-conditioned room with a variety of indoor board games and TV/Video/DVD/CD/Karaoke facilities provided.
The bridge, or the Captain’s control room, is well equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art navigation equipment. From here, the Captain will get an all around view, including views from monitoring cameras located in the engine room and the diving platform. The Captain is a local who has had plenty of sailing experience and is an expert when it comes to venturing the Andaman Sea.
Apart from the private shower & toilet facilities in your cabin, a common shower and toilet room is also provided by the large and organised dive equipment area for even more convenience.
3 meals are served per full day. Meals will vary each day and will comprise of Thai cuisines, fresh seafood, and international dishes. Our cook will ensure that you are well looked after for every meal on board. Food will be attentively prepared to suit your requirement. Snacks, tea and coffee are available throughout the day. Sodas and beers are for sale. There is free Wifi when the boat is in range of Thai mobile signal.
There are 12 cabins – 2 VIP King Size Double Bed, 3 Deluxe Twin plus 4 Standard Twin Cabins on the Main Deck and 3 Standard Twin Cabins on the Lower Deck. All have aircon and bathroom/toilet.
Diving Equipment
Rental equipment is provided by Aqua liveaboard on board. Rental price is 700 Baht per day for a set (BCD/regulator/fins/mask/wetsuit), 300 Baht/day for a dive computer and only 150 Baht/day for dive insurance.
Torches for night dives 100 Baht per dive. 15 liter tanks available 300 Baht per day.
Nitrox Tanks
Nitrox is available on board for Nitrox certified divers – 12 and 15 liter tanks for free.
Dive Courses
PADI Advanced Open Water course is 10,000 Baht. PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is 7,000 Baht (courses are payable on board in cash).
Drinks
Drinking water, soft drinks, coffee, tea are included. Local beers are 70 Baht.

The MV Aqua runs trips with 14 dives for 4 nights with 4 diving days from the Similan Islands to Richelieu Rock through the season from October to May.
Some best of the Andaman 5 night cruises with 5 diving days and 18 dives are available as well (itinerary on request).
